Nicholas Hilton Wants to Sing Now, Too!

UPDATE: Contrary to initial reports, apparently it’s Paris Hilton’s cousin Nicholas Conrad Hilton, not Barron, who’s launching a music career. Still seems like a less than prudent idea.

Barron Hilton is ready to expand his resumé beyond serving as Paris Hilton’s little brother. And he plans to do so by following his big sis into the music industry.

The New York Post reports that Barron, 19, has his mind—and throat—set on a singing career.

“I want to be an international singer-songwriter,” Hilton tells the paper. “I’m sick of all the Hilton stuff, where all anyone cared about was whether I was doing coke in the bathroom or how many [bleeps] I was sleeping with. I’m done with partying and traveling. It’s time to get this [bleep] started.”

Hilton, who’s currently recording tracks in his Upper East Side apartment in New York, might do well to re-consider his new career path. While big sis Paris had a minor hit with the 2006 pop-reggae ditty “Stars Are Blind,” she’s so far encountered difficulty finding an outlet for her latest musical masterpiece.

But then, reaching the top of the charts may not be young Barron’s primary incentive.

“I just want people to say, ‘Wow, this song really moved me, or made me cry,'” the aspiring warbler offers.

Something tells us that he won’t have much trouble achieving the latter goal. Although the crying might be tears of laughter.
