Zooey Deschanel: Don't Call Me Katy Perry!
Zooey Deschanel has an identity crisis.
Apparently, the musician/actress is constantly being mistaken for "I Kissed a Girl" singer Katy Perry, and she tells MTV.com that she's had quite enough of it.
"It's a little bit annoying, to be totally blunt. The only similarity that we have is that we look a little bit alike," Deschanel grouses. "I used to get, 'I heard you were out at such-and-such club drinking whiskey!' [when] I was at home watching TV. I think we lead very different lives."
Personally, we don't see the resemblance at all, but our friends at Buzznet have thoughtfully compiled a massive photo gallery of the two to help shed more light on the subject.

I saw Zoey on TinMan and I thought she was Katy Perry, I swear it. They're twins. Without too much make up, Katy looks like Zoey and I'm still confused until today.
Zooey is a boss. Katy is awesome to but they have way different personalities and I have never mistaken one for another. I think they look alike in the pic above but with all the crazy ish Katy keeps doing they look nothing alike. They just happen to have the same eye color and hair color and sometimes the same hair cut but if you look at their faces next to each other they don't look alike at all.

I thought Zooey was Katey in 500 days of summer and hitchhikers ... I hadnt heard of her before and they look identical, so I just assumed, until I was corrected by the credits!
Zooey is not insulting Katy Perry.. being constantly mistaken for and compared to someone else is always annoying, no matter who that person is.

Umm Zooey is absolutely beautiful and classic and totally unique and Katy Perry is an ugly fakee btch who definitely tries to hard to be like Zooey. Check out pictures of the REAL "Katy Perry" by typing her actual name Katy Hudson on google.
I think they look similar but not JUST ALIKE. I know what it feels like to always be told you look like someone you're not, but she is being kinda harsh. At least she isn't getting told she looks like Marilyn Manson, or someone like that.

zooey is being a diva about al this. they are both gorgeous and should take there likeness being pointed out as a compliment. i saw 500 days of summer and thought zooey was katy perry until the credits! its been said everyone on earth has a twin somewhere. looks like zooey found hers!
We love you, Katy! :) I don't really know who that Zooey is. She should be thankful for being the lead actress in 500 days of Summer. Anyy, thumbs up still to both of them. BUT I LIKE KATY MORE AND MORE! Talented and VERY GORGEOUS! :)

I knew about Zooey way before Katy. And I noticed the similarities particularly in their eyes. However, aside from the physical similarities and the fact that they dress up in a not-so-usual way, they're really actually very different. :) IMO

their speaking voices are different, katy's nose looks a little, um,...jobbed. other than that, they are twins.

Look at the eyes people. Katy has green eyes, Zooey has blue eyes and of course the face shape. I think these are the only ways to understand who's who... at least for me.
Zooey is just way better looking and way more cute. She also sings way better. Maybe they look a little alike, but it's just the hair.
Katy has an angular face with sharp features whereas Zooey's is soft and more rounded, If they both picked up 50 pounds Katy would just fall apart- but Zooey would only get better :)

zooey is cute. katy perry looks like a tranny. it's a subtle difference--but it's there! plus--zooey is way more talented!
The first time I saw Katy Perry out of the corner of my eye on a TV, I thought she was Zooey. I've never thought the other way around because the first time I saw Zooey was in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (awesome). When I looked closely at the TV, I slapped myself upside the head because it was an insult to Zooey. So there!
Sorry, Zooey... Katy is almost the exact spitting image of you. Even if you don't want it to be true. She's also getting a lot more publicity than you these days, haha... maybe you should just take what you can get and try not to complain. :P
