VIDEO: Jay Leno Laughs Off Health Scare
Apparently, laughter really is the best medicine.
Talk-how host Jay Leno, who had to cancel Thursday night's taping of The Tonight Show because of a hospital stay, was back on the airwaves last night and cracking wise about the situation.
Leno checked into the Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, complaining that he didn't feel well after showing up to work.
"What happened was—and I think this was a mistake—I ate a raw pig a friend brought back from Mexico. It was delicious," the 58-year-old cracked, referencing the new swine-flu epidemic.
"And I realized I've got a really bad HMO," Leno went on, takikng a swipe at the health-care system. "Like, for X-rays they had to take me over to Burbank Airport and put me through the baggage."
