Zac Efron To Honor Ben Stiller at MTV Movie Awards
First it was announced that Nessie would serve as a presenter at this year's ceremony, which airs May 31, and now People magazine reports that Zac will present Zoolander star Ben Stiller with MTV's Generation Award.
Stiller, who's starred in such comedic classics as There's Something About Mary, Meet the Parents and Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, is being honored for his "versatility and talent," according to Van Toffler, President of MTV Networks Music/Logo/Film Group.
"Ben is a comedic chameleon, able to make the leap between drama and full-out comedy while maintaining his own unique brand of subversive humor," Toffler announced in a statement.
Stiller, 43, who got his start on the music channel in the early '90s with The Ben Stiller Show, expressed his gratitude in his own wry way.
"I am honored to be getting the 'Generation Award,' " the star said in a statement. "I was given my first show at MTV, and also cancelled for the first time. I also was secretly having an affair with JJ Jackson, so it brings back pleasant memories."
For all you Zac and Vanessa fans out there, that was a reference to a guy who used to play music videos on MTV, Back when MTV used to actually play music videos.
