Kris Allen to Sing National Anthem at NBA Finals
Oh say can you see, Kris Allen singing the national anthem?
Yes, you can—but you'll have to wait until Sunday.
Us Magazine reports that American Idol winner Allen will belt out "The Star-Spangled Banner" during Game 2 of the NBA finals tomorrow, when the Los Angeles Lakers face off once again against the Orlando Magic.
Allen follows such AI alum as Taylor Hicks, Kelly Clarkson, Rubben Studdard, Carrie Underwood, Jordin Sparks and David Cook in singing the national anthem at NBA championship games.
Game 2 of the NBA Finals will air at 8 p.m. Eastern time on ABC on Sunday.

Adam isn't available to sing the anthem tomorrow night. He's receiving a Young Hollywood Artist of the Year award. (YAY! Go Adam!).And, um, I'm not a Kris fan, but that picture's kind of cruel. I hope Kris' album will be better than him singing at the NBA game. Started off terrible, got a little better, but was still so boring! I'm thinking twice about buying his music.
No, I'm sorry, WE do not want Adam to sing. I loved Kris's performance. He looked and sounded fantastic. Adam Lambert fans need to get over it. Both of these singers are talented and amazing in their own way. Kris sang the song from his heart with a beautiful, pure, a capella performance of the National Anthem that was respectful of both the song and the occasion. I wish him nothing but success and will tune in to any occasion that lets me see him sing live on television. He is a great American Idol winner, talented and a true gentleman.
