Daniel Craig Prepares to Do More Bond-ing

It’s official—Daniel Craig will play James Bond for a third big-screen offering.

E! Online reports that Craig—who portrayed legendary Agent 007 in 2006’s Casino Royale and 2008’s Quantum of Solace—is putting on the tuxedo once again, for a film to be released in 2011.

This will be the 23rd film in all for the long-running James Bond series.

Plot details have yet to come, though producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli appear to be shaking up the writing like one of Bond’s martinis. In addition to Neal Purvis and Robert Wade—who penned both Casino Royale and SolacePeter Morgan, who wrote the script for last year’s biopic Frost/Nixon, will have a hand in the script.

“Peter, Neal and Robert are extraordinarily talented and we’re looking forward to working with the three of them,” Wilson and Broccoli announced in a statement.

In the meantime Craig will have his hands full with the upcoming Steven Spielberg production The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn and a run on Broadway with Hugh Jackman in the play A Steady Rain, which opens in the fall.
