Johnny Depp Is a Good Tipper
Show business has been pretty good to Johnny Depp, and apparently he doesn't mind spreading his good fortune around.
The Chicago Sun-Times reports that the Pirates of the Caribbean actor laid down a $4,000 tip on a $4,400 bill at Chicago eatery Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse last Thursday.
Depp, who was in town for a red-carpet screening of his blockbuster-to-be Public Enemies, was accompanied by a large party and stayed at the restaurant until 2:30 in the morning.
"Depp hosted a party of 15 people, including [Public Enemies director Michael] Mann and [Depp's co-star Marion] Cotillard, and the tip was split 12 ways," reveals Mohammed A. "Mo" Sekhani, the lucky waiter who served Depp and his crew. "Depp is the finest of all the stars I have ever waited on. And he is a true icon, and his ability to respect others is phenomenal. He loves Chicago, and Chicago loves him. Depp is one cool and generous dude."
Sounds like a real class act.
