Michael Jackson Fans Are Killing Themselves in Grief
Some of Michael Jackson‘s fans are taking their devotion way too far.
Sky News quotes Gary Taylor, owner of Jackson fan mega-site MMJCommunity.com, as saying that as many as a dozen MJ fans have killed themselves in grief since the music giant’s untimely death last Thursday at the age of 50.
“I know there has been an increase, I now believe the figure is 12,” Taylor estimates. “It is a serious situation that these people are going through but Michael Jackson would never want this. He would want them to live.”
In light of this growing epidemic, Rev. Jesse Jackson has released a video on YouTube urging Jackson’s fans not to “self-destruct.”
“This is a time when hearts are heavy. There is great pain but great cause to celebrate Michael’s life,” Jackson—no relation to the deceased singer—says. “It made Michael happy saying ‘We Are The World’. Don’t self destruct.”

I agree that the best way to deal with MJ’s death is to celebrate his life, not commit suicide. We have his music and his videos and that is a great gift he gave to us. There is also his legacy that we have a responsibility to protect because we are enjoying his gift of music. To all you people who have posted on here calling him a freak or a child molester I have to say that you are stating this out of pure ignorance and you should be ashamed of yourselves for being so small-minded. Please do the intelligent thing and actually do some RESEARCH before you call him these things or dare bash him. MJ was found NOT GUILTY ON ALL 14 COUNTS. There is NO EVIDENCE he ever molested a single child. He has also done a lot of charity work and has given more of himself than any other pop star. He is also in the guiness book of world records for his charity work, supporting over 39 charities. He used to visit children’s hospitals and orphanages when he went on tour bringing toys, if a child needed a liver transplant he would pay for it. What about Heal The World Foundation and that wonderful song from the 80s We Are The World which Michael helped organize to provide hunger relief in third world countries? I can site sources for people to do research to find out what kind of man MJ truly was. MJ was a musical genius and a humanitarian, not a criminal. His accusers were extortionists trying to get rich quick. If you are so unwilling to do this research then please refrain from saying anything at all about MJ if you can’t say something nice. I can only guess that you are calling MJ these names because it makes you feel big. But to say these negative things without any research to back it up is nothing but ignorance and stupidity.

I love Michael Jackson, and I love what he stood for. You can say he stood for child molestation, and that he was a freak. But the guy clearly had some psychological damage and still held true and strong. He had great visions, was a superb entertainer, and had a heart filled with love. Do not bash a man who promoted love and peace-those of you that do, are the source of destruction. Believe what you may, but none of us truly knew him; remember him for the facts,

What this says to me is that you only scimmed over the top of what was said and done and why he was found not guilty.

Everyone has made mistakes in life. Maybe your favorite artists(for those whose favorite artist is not MJ) has made mistakes as big as Jackson or even bigger. But they’ve just bought their way out of it. Listen guys, I know not everyone likes Michael Jackson. I know some people are crazy enough about him to give up their lives because he died and some just hate him. In my opinion, Michael Jackson was the best artist there has ever been. I don’t need to say what all he’s done, everyone knows that. Everyone has an idea of his greatness. But people, you just need to relax. For those who gave their lives- Guys, I love Michael Jackson too. I grew up listening to his music but you can’t just commit suicide for him! He wouldn’t want that at all! He taught us love and encouraged us to live in peace. He was feel very sad if he would get to know now that his fans are giving their lives for him. For Michael Jackson haters- People, you all are aware that’s he’s the most successful entertainer of all time. You know that he was full of talent and its very, very difficult for someone to reach at such a level. In fact, no one has ever done things as great as Michael(his songs and music videos, philanthropy, broke records). Now there were rumors about him, and they’ve been proven wrong in the court. But its up to you whether to believe them or not. It’s okay for you not to like him. But at least don’t hurt other’s feelings by insulting him. You know that the world loves him. If you really hate him so much, why can’t you just keep it do yourself and don’t talk about him? Why do you need to start a fight on Michael Jackson with the people who like him?
