Megan Fox Denies Tomb Raider Rumor
It’s long been rumored that Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen vixen Megan Fox is being sought to replace Angelina Jolie in a Tomb Raider sequel, but the action star has ended this talk, stating publicly that no one has contacted her or offered her anything.
“I think that’s a role that Angelina Jolie mastered, and I would never attempt to take that over from her,” Fox said.
The scuttlebutt began when Tomb Raider producer Dan Lin announced that Jolie would not be returning as Lara Croft for a third time in favor of a younger actress that might revitalize the franchise after 2003’s Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life earned a feeble $65.7 million.
This announcement, accompanied by the ready-made comparison between the two actresses, has fueled speculation ever since. Until now.
But maybe the producers should consider making Megan an offer. If Fox’s career-making work as Transformers’ adrenaline-fueled eye candy is any indication, she could bring in big money for the flagging series.
