Michael Jackson's Daughter's Speech Was Not Planned

Michael Jackson's Daughter's Speech Was Not Planned-photo

By now, everyone has seen Paris Jackson's moving speech on stage at her father Michael Jackson's public memorial service yesterday.

Ken Ehrlich, the producer of the Michael Jackson memorial, told CNN that he "didn't know the kids were going to come up with them" and that the touching moment "was not planned."

He added, "A lot of the show was not scripted. Music was laid out, but most of the speakers really spoke from their heart – people who knew Michael well – and I think that’s what gave the show its heart."

The Jackson family truly wanted it to be a public memorial and not a TV show, making it clear that "we don’t want to do a TV show, we want to do a memorial service. We hope you got the feeling you were watching a memorial service.”

[quote=Eskil Tester]I also thought the bubblegum was a bit odd, however, what do we care? It's hard enough for those kids as it is. Katherine wasn't up on stage, the woman pulling down the mic was Latoya with the big hat. Missed one jackson nobody speaks about, Reby, where was the oldest sistes??? Not in the Jackson seats and not on stage...wazzup with that? She wasnt even on the list of people who joined the jacksons...ey she is the oldest of girls.. Anyway, thought the stage thing with the kids was bit too much every jackson pulling her and the mic, however, everyone just wanted one thing, helping the kid out so she could speak.... Love to the kids rebbie was the one with that hat that adjusted the microphone. janet was behind paris and latoya had that enormous hat. katherine was not on the stage. open your eyes. r.i.p. mj i love you.

Wats up with the bubblegum, Prince?????? Its your dads memorial, not Willy Wonka's tasting party! Don't try and look too hardcore, even if you need to be strong as an example for your siblings! Cry a little! I am sure Prince is perfectly aware where he is and why! The gum, I am sure, is a distraction for him. His way of holding it together and helping him get through this very difficult day. He is still just a child and does not have to be the rock. I am stunned that with all that went on at this amazing tribute, this is what you choose to point out. Next time please use better use of your time. For God sakes, they are all just babies. Lighten up and have some compassion please.

Oh yes the Jackson Family loving, kind and together in their grief. When that poor little dear started to talk she was getting all kinds of help from the family "speak into the mic dear"..Katherine helping pull the mic down to Paris' level....Michael Jackson when to extreme lengths to hid his children from the public and in a few short hours at his memorial the world got a real good look at them...Something Michael Jackson did not want. What's next Old Joe going to beat them into performing too???? These children need a lot of counseling for their grief, and the way they lived. When a boy in around 7 hasa father the dies they need the most help because somehow they feel there should have been something they could have done and if they don't get the help they need they will have a very difficult time in life. God Bless the Children

Cry a little! LEAVE THE KIDS ALONE!!! so what if he was chewing gum! Big deal! The kid has just lost his father for gods sake! boys have a different way of showing their emotions....u dont have to be pouring tears to be grieving.....this is the first time we have seen these kids after their dad's passing....u have no idea what they r goin through so DONT sit there and start judging these beautiful kids!! It's because of ppl like u Michael was under so much stress and now u are doin the same to his kids!! DISGUSTING!!

Cry a little! MAYBE that's why he was chewing gum come on people give these kids a break so what he was chewing gum everyone doesn't have the same coping skills society is going to darn far when you tell a kid how to grieve. Maybe to him he is being an example to his siblings, maybe he has no more tears to cry, maybe he's in denial. People stop looking from the outside in and LEAVE THESE KIDS ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!

his youngest son Blanket , kept covering his face with stufff. I think he doesn't know that he doesn't have to do that anymore, but it made him look shy and cute ( in a Awwww....way) and his oldest son looked AWOL from the ceremony, and was chewing bubblegum the whole time. I hope he doesn't turn into a rebel or punk because of the pain and he saw his dad collapse ,and thought he was joking, so he might think its his fault and should have called the doctor,. Also people are saying that he might end up dating Kylie Jenner, because they are the same age and live close. I hope they don't, or they'll end up like a K-Fed and Britney relationship!! And the person above, Guest 27, is my name!!!!
