Report: Brad and Angelina May Drop $25 Million on New York Home

Apparently, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie aren’t feeling the bite of the housing crisis.

New York Daily News reports that the Inglourious Basterds actor and the Salt babe are looking hard for potential homes in Manhattan, and they’re willing to spend some serious bucks.

A source says that the couple is leaning toward the Apthorp, a century-old building on the Upper West Side that’s currently undergoing a condo conversion. The show-biz power couple is reportedly considering putting together three units in the building to accommodate themselves and their ever-expanding brood.

“I heard they’re ready to spend as much as $25 million,” the source reveals.

What could possibly compel them to drop that kind of dough? Well, for one thing, there’s the security factor.

“The gated courtyard means they can get in and out of their car without being hassled by paparazzi,” the source notes. “The building also has several other exits.”

And architecture buff Pitt is no doubt drawn to the circa 1908 building’s period features.

Still…$25 million?!!?

Tell us in the comments section: If you had that kind of money, what would you spend it on?
