Debbie Rowe Denies Seeking $4 Million for Jackson's Kids
It would seem that motherhood isn't really paying off all that well for Debbie Rowe. At least not yet.
The New York Post reported this morning that Rowe, mother to two of deceased singer Michael Jackson's children, has struck a deal with Jackson's mother, Katherine, to give up parental rights of Prince Michael I and Paris, in exchange for $4 million.
The paper quoted a Jackson family source as saying that the family "felt it was a ransom-type thing. [Rowe] jumped back into the picture because she wanted money...It's one final payday."
However, Rowe's lawyer, Eric George, tells CNN that no deal has been struck, categorizing the Post story as "completely false." And according to a Jackson family lawyer, the Jackson family and Rowe are working to "privately and amicably resolve" the child-custody matter.
A court hearing on the child-custody case, which was originally scheduled for this week, has been delayed until next Monday, at the request of both the Jackson family and Team Rowe.
So who will ultimately end up with custody of the King of Pop's tots? Time—and the court system—will eventually tell, but in the meantime, tell us in the comments section: Who do you think should get Michael Jackson's kids?
