Is Summit Entertainment Tearing Robsten Apart?

If you thought Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart seemed a little chilly toward each other at Comic-Con this week, there could be a very good reason for that.

E! Online reports that Summit Entertainment, the company behind the Twilight saga, are deliberately putting distance between Pattinson and Stewart, in order to hype up the dynamic between Stewart and castmate Taylor Lautner in the upcoming Twilight sequel New Moon.

“Right now, it’s all about Taylor and Kristen,” says a source. “People are pushing them together in the media and behind the scenes because the studio knows the whole world is watching all the time. Rob and Kristen? No.”

The source continues, “Rob’s physically almost never in the movie! The relationship between [Taylor and Kristen] is a huge part of the sequel, so fans need to get used to seeing them together. Not Kristen and Rob. That’s the way it’s going to be.”

And what does this mean for the supposed off-screen relationship that Pattinson and Stewart supposedly share? Will the studio’s ploy to promote New Moon have an effect on them personally?
