Brad Pitt Calls Out Tom Cruise Big-Time!
It’s a battle of the Nazi-hunting mega-stars!
While promoting his new movie Inglourious Basterds in German periodical Stern recently, Brad Pitt took a massive swipe at Tom Cruise’s 2008 album Valkyrie—which shares a similar Hitler-hittin’ theme with Basterds.
“It was a ridiculous movie,” Pitt scoffed.
Ooh; you just know there’s a couch out there somewhere that’s bearing the brunt of Tom Cruise’s wrath right about now.
In comparison, Pitt opines, Inglourious Basterds is the ultimate in Nazi-themed movies, and no one else should even try making one from here on in.
“The second World War could still deliver more stories and films, but I believe that Quentin [Tarantino, director] put a cover on that pot. With Basterds, everything than can be said to this genre has been said,” Pitt asserted. “The film destroys every symbol. The work is done, end of story.”
Wow; how was there space enough in the same room for the interviewer, Pitt, and Brad’s ego?
