Chris Brown: Already Violating His Probation?
Can't Chris Brown go one day without getting into trouble?
E! Online reports that Brown may have run afoul of his probation conditions hours after being sentenced on Wednesday—by hitting up West Hollywood watering hole Guys & Dolls later that evening.
Brown's probation orders that he "abstain from the use of all alcoholic beverages and stay out of places where they are the chief item of sale" for the next five years. Not to mention the fact that Brown is 20 years old, making his presence in a bar somewhat troublesome to begin with.
No probation violation order has been filed yet, but according to Los Angeles Probation Department spokeswoman Kari Webb, if Brown is found to have violated his probation, "it won't be taken lightly."
"Anytime you break the law, you're in violation. If you break the law, you're in trouble," Webb adds.
Los Angeles Court spokesperson Allan Parachini notes that Brown may be able to skate by on a technicality, since Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg didn't specifically mention the alcohol provision in her sentencing order or minute order. However, Parachini says, "If the probation department does decide Brown has violated his probation, they are obligated to inform the court."
