Miley Cyrus Is Leaving the Stripper Pole at Home for New Tour

Miley Cyrus Is Leaving the Stripper Pole at Home for New Tour-photo

Sorry, Miley Cyrus fans; you won't see the 16-year-old singing sensation writhing seductively on a stripper pole on her upcoming Wonder World Tour.

E! Online reports that Cyrus was planning to use a pole as a prop when she performs "Party in the USA" during her road jaunt, but after her pole-dancing routine at this year's Teen Choice Awards drew mixed reviews, she decided to put the kibosh on the idea.

"Miley cares about being a good role model to her fans and didn't want to offend anyone," says an insider.

Instead, the Hannah Montana star will apparently perform the song while rolling around on a luggage cart like "the kind a hotel bellhop uses."

Bummer.

Readers, let us know in the comments section: Was Miley too quick to give up the pole?

Miley Rocks!!! She is our standard bearer for lots of reasons. For example, she is the most FUN! current entertainer out there. Practically all entertainers try to be cool or awesome. Miley easily achieves cool and awesome on her way to her objective of fun! I love being a Miley fan because she motivates me to achieve more, to be a better person, and it helps me gauge the overall good will of others towards people when I tell them I'm a fan. She has achieved so much. Entrepreneur types have Bill Gates, golfers have Tiger Woods, basketball fans have Michael Jordan...and we have our champion too! Miley Cyrus. I hope you will give her new movies a chance. When Lawrence Olivier started acting the critics were extremely harsh, calling him a pretty boy who was only on the screen for his looks. But he was astute enough and had the drive (like Miley) to improve his acting until, when he died, he was considered one of the all time great actors. I could go on and on, being a Miley fan, but I just hope you will extend to Miley just a little of the good will she has for others.

I personally didn't even see this performance but what im talking about, more then whether or not she's acting like a stripper, is that girls today don't even seem to think you need actual talent to be famous. Little girls will always love Disney show "actors" and thats ok. But in the last few years, these actors can't just let the show runs it's course like they used to, Disney has to market them in every catagory. Miley sings and has clothes at Walmart and backpacks and radio time. It's over kill especially when they aren't that good! If they were acting like this over Dakota Fanning or something, i'd say "ok, there's someone they should look up to, a talented girl who seems to have a good head. . And as far as some of you saying "keep your nose out of people business", um, you realize you are on a GOSSIP WEBSITE right? They're only job is to be in people business so we can be. And the fact that you said something means you are to, good or bad.

people just grow the f**** up! she was having fun, just doing a performance and its not as if she was naked or anything. you make such a big deal because she was doing a performance using a pole as prop. i dont even know why you putting your nose in other peoples business, just leave her alone at let her be.

She's really awful. So she was actually "surprised" people had a problem with her parading around like a stripper when her fan base is primarily little girls? Cyrus is a total idiot and her parents don't seem to have a clue either. It just makes me cringe whenever she starts talking about "her faith" grounding her. I'm surprised she doesn't get a lightning bolt on that alone. She's a much too young slut. The fact that any parent would think she's a decent role model for their little girls is scary....steer them away from her people! Her decision to ditch the stripper pole is a good one but it's too little, too late. o complety agree with u..u said exaclty what was on my mind..)great minds think a like) hate miley... only ages 4-12 like miley and to all little girls miley is the worst role model ever..keep ur parents as ur role model..plzz they r 1000 times better maybe a million times better..have a good day...f*ck miley..

em 14 mins ago Reply Im sorry, am I the only one who thinks she's terrible? I mean, she may be nice but she can't really sing and she's a terrible "actress". People talk about her having the comedic timing of Lucille Ball, come on now, since when is being melodramatic and over the top considered funny enough to be the next Lucy? And if she hadn't been on HM I don't think she'd even be famous much less a singer. If she was even on American Idol, no one would keep her till the end. I just don't understand the big deal. i soo agree with you

Most of your fans are little girls, so getting rid of the pole was a good choice. You're 16 anyways, why even think of it?

Notice that she personally did not have a problem with the pole (i.e. presenting herself with connotations of a stripper). She just didn't want to offend fans. When she reaches the age of 18, I imagine we'll see her perform and present herself the way she prefers--Britney style. There's no chance in mistaking her for Audrey Hepburn. Most young performers seem allergic to classiness.

Her fans are cool with 'whatever' , but the tickets we're using for her tour costs almost $400. Let's keep the parents happy:)
