Russell Brand: “You Can’t Make A Pretty Girl Cry”

By: Betsy Waldman / September 14, 2009

VMA host Russell Brand appeared on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show this morning and, of course, had something to say about the whole Kanye West drama.

“Because in the past I’ve made mistakes and done things a little bit daft,” he began. “I know Kanye, and I know he’s a nice bloke. We all make mistakes in life.”

“I think he’s already apologized, hasn’t he?” he added. “Beyonce is great, and I think he wanted to make a point about her.”

He went on to say, “Taylor Swift’s a young kid, isn’t she? Yeah, you can’t make a pretty girl cry.”

He ended by trying to put some perspective on the whole thing. “We’re just people; we all do things that are a bit silly sometimes,” he said. “Calm down; no one died.”

Do you agree with Russell?
