The Emmy Awards: And the Winners Are…
Hit comedy 30 Rock and critically acclaimed drama Mad Men were the big winners at the 61st Prime Time Emmy Awards on a glitzy night for TV’s top stars.
Along with the award for outstanding comedy series, the 30 Rock crew scored a big win with Alec Baldwin taking home the statuette for top lead actor in a comedy series. But Baldwin’s co-star (and the show’s creator) Tina Fey was upset in the lead actress category by Toni Collette of United States of Tara.
Veteran actress Glenn Close was named best actress in a drama series for her portrayal of the ruthless attorney Patty Hewes role on Damages, while Bryan Cranston scored an unexpected win as best actor in a drama for his role on Breaking Bad.
Congratulations to the winners! And better luck next time to the los…err, the people who didn’t win! See the full list below.
