Lady GaGa Tells the World to Get Off Kanye's Back
Lady GaGa is one loyal tourmate.
The "Poker Face" chanteuse—who's hitting the road with 808s & Heartbreak rapper Kanye West later this year—says that people need to cut West some slack for interrupting country singer Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards earlier this month.
Opines the Pantsless One,
"I can tell you that he's very sorry, and he made a mistake, and he knows it...But at the end of the day, he is a pioneer in hip-hop music, and he changed what hip-hop music means. And I think that it's time for everyone to kind of take their heads out of the newspapers and remember that, in truth, Kanye's making most of the music we hear on the radio today...He has a tremendous effect on everybody's lives and I think it's unfair to judge a person by one thing that they said."
Alright, then; being prolific is an excuse for rudeness. So what was GaGa's reaction when she saw Kanye's "I'ma let you finish" moment?
"It was, 'Oh, jeez," GaGa recalls.
Wow. Coming from a woman who's caused no small number of, "Oh, jeez" reactions herself, that's saying something.
