Robert Downey Jr.: Hopping Into ‘Harvey’ Role?
After portraying legendary sleuth Sherlock Holmes and metal-clad superhero Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr. will reportedly be taking a drastic turn with his next role.
The Los Angeles Times reports that Downey may be about to sign on for Steven Spielberg’s remake of the 1950 Jimmy Stewart classic Harvey, about a man who pals around with a giant rabbit that no one else can see.
The original movie, which was based on a Pulitzer-winning play, scored Stewart an Oscar nomination. Other actors who’ve been bandied about for the lead role of Elwood P. Dowd include Tom Hanks and Will Smith.
