Jon Gosselin Says Divorce Is No Biggie for the Kids
Jon Gosselin may think that taping a reality show is bad for his eight children, but as far as he's concerned the fact that he's going through a high-profile divorce with wife Kate Gosselin is pretty much A-OK with them.
The former Jon & Kate Plus 8 dad sat down for an interview with Entertainment Tonight and revealed that, with the exception of nine-year-old twins Mady and Cara, the Gosselin kids greeted the news of their parents' split with a collective, "Meh."
Says Papa Jon,
"When we told them we were going to get divorced, the 5-year old said, 'What's for lunch?' The only two people who really cared were Mady and Cara. Cara broke down and Mady said, 'Oh, I saw this coming.'"
Maybe they were just relieved that the marriage was over?
Gosselin also used the interview to get in another pot-shot at estranged wife Kate, theorizing that she probably twisted Jon's decision to halt production on the show in order to scare and intimidate the kids.
Jon suggests that, when Kate told them about the production shutting down, she probably said something along the lines of,
"Oh, daddy's put a halt on filming. Your friends are going to go away...She probably worded it in a way that's a violation to them, or their sense of security."
Poor guy; will he ever catch a break?
