Michael Vick Is Getting His Own Reality Show

Did anyone think this wouldn’t happen sooner or later?

The Los Angeles Times reports that reinstated NFL player Michael Vick—who was recently released from prison after running a dog-fighting ring at his home—will be starring in a reality series to air on BET to air in 2007.

Actually, they’re not calling the eight-part show a reality show. BET prefers the term  “docu-series,” presumably because it classes up the concept a little.

The series, tentatively titled The Michael Vick Project, will follow Vick’s return to the NFL under the Philadelphia Eagles, as well as delve into his controversial past, including his 2007 arrest.

Vick says of the series,

“I just want people to really get to know me as an individual. What I want to do is change the perception of me. I am a human being. I’ve made some mistakes in the past, and I wish it had never happened. But it’s not about how you fall, but about how you pick yourself up.”

Sounds…fantastic.
