Project Runway Video Game in the Works

Ready to make it work—on the Wii stick?

Variety reports that popular fashion-competition show Project Runway is being turned into a video game by Atari, which will hit store shelves in the spring.

The game will initially be available for the Nintendo Wii, with other versions to follow. Runway’s Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn will be providing their input on the game.

As with the show, players will compete to create different designs, but they will also have the opportunity to become the model and showcase their creations on the runway, using the Wii Balance Board.

Says Atari CEO Jim Wilson,

“Of all the brand opportunities out there, we thought Project Runway was the leading fashion brand. The audience is building, the talent is recognizable. It reaches such a broad audience.”
