Charlie’s Angels Coming Back to TV?
Are America’s TV viewers ready for yet another revamp of a classic series?
Hopefully so, because Variety reports that ABC is working on a new version of the 1970s female-detective series Charlie’s Angels.
Drew Barrrymore, who played the part of Dylan Sanders in the successful big-screen versions of the Angels tale, will be involved in the project, although it’s uncertain in what capacity, as will Leonard Goldberg, who helped launch the original series with Aaron Spelling.
The original series, which ran from 1976 to 1981, starred the late Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith, and later Cheryl Ladd.
Tell us in the comments section: Do you think this is a good idea and, if so, who do you think should be cast as the new Angels?
