VIDEO: Miley Cyrus Trashes Twilight!
Uh-oh; looks like Miley Cyrus just incurred the wrath of Twi-hard Nation.
The Hannah Montana star was interviewed by Q92 while backstage for her show at Cleveland’s Quicken Loans Arena on Sunday, and was asked whether she falls into Team Edward or Team Jacob.
At which point the “Party in the U.S.A” warbler had the jaw-dropping audacity to dis the entire vampire-movie franchise.
Miley professed,
“I’ve never seen [Twilight], nor will I. I don’t believe in it. I don’t like vampires, I don’t like the wolf that pops out of the screen when I’m watching TV at night, I don’t want anything to do with it. I don’t like the shirts, I don’t like any of it.”
Wow; if Miley think wolves popping out of her TV screen are scary, wait until she gets a taste of the venom from millions of outraged Twilight fanatics.

i think that its good she expressed her opinion, but it sounded more like she really just wanted to trash talk about it. i think is really ofensive what she said not for the but for all the twilight fans , and im pretty sure that the big problem is that all her old fans grew up and now they like twilight instead of her.

Movies no matter what the content are for us the public, And the public is the ones paying her bills and everyones bills in and on the Hollywood circuit, If she has some sort of Religious believes she should also keep that to her self simply because all Religions are CULTS, Fantasy is all us the Jane-Q and John-Q public have………Bottom line is this now…My girls won’t be buying anymore of Ms. Cyrus’s music she has shown me and my four girls her true face, My oldest girl (15) ask me…Why would she trash such a beautiful movie without seeing it first…I told her that you can take the girl out of the trailer park BUT you can’t take the trash out of the girl…..
Who really cares? In a few years, fads change and given time, Miley, Twilight, or anyone’s opinion on either subject really won’t matter in the whole scheme of the world. The people that latch onto things and become obsessed are the people that need mental help. Miley will get old and grow out of her fandom, and within a few short years, the Twilight saga and movies will all be made and people will get over them. Just like the crazy Harry Potter fad – it eventually passes and the people that continue to hold onto it obsessively probably have mental issues.

I don’t dislike nor like Miley Cyrus. Her voice isn’t all that impressive and she seems to let her fame get to her head. But why wouldn’t she? she’s a teenage girl. raised and living in the spotlight. it’s easy to be influenced at this age, especially when you are a young celebrity idol, i bet. she’ll learn from her mistakes and hopefully have a little more depth and sense in the future.
I also agree that she judges a bit harshly on twilight.
The films are cheesy and campy….but that’s what makes them so fun! I wasn’t a fan of the movies at first(but read the books when they first came out) but they grew on me. New Moon was much better than Twilight,though.
Anyway, yes, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, even miley cyrus. but she needs to learn to be more careful when expressing hers. she should take into consideration how much impact her opinions will have on her fans and non-fans.
