Taking time out from all the merry-making at Celebuzz and JCPenney's "Joy of Giving" event last night at Sunset Tower Hotel, Molly Sims, Samantha Harris and Ryan and Trista Sutter discussed the true reason for the season: the warm glow that one gets from helping out those less fortunate.

Check out the video below, in which Sims and Harris discuss the Friends of El Faro organization (which last night's event benefited, and for which Sims serves as spokesperson), and Ryan reveals what we can all learn from the simple, nonmaterialistic perspective of children.

Bob Pranga—aka Dr. Christmas, Tree Stylist to the Stars—also graced us with his presence at the Joy of Giving event, where he gave us some crucial insight into what it's like to trim the Christmas trees of the rich and famous. Check out the video below:

During the event, Sims also introduced I See You, a new book by the El Faro orphanage's founder, which also contains a foreword by supporter Jennifer Aniston. Got a bookworm on your Christmas wish list? Check it out:

The Joy of Giving soiree was also attended by Los Angeles resident and JCPenney contest winner Lisa, whose prize not only included an invite for two (she brought her BFF) and a stay at the Standard Hotel and a selection of clothing from JCPenney. See the lucky gal express her gratitude in the video below:

While the Joy of Giving may have been the theme of the evening, the experience of getting is pretty sweet too, and the revelers walked away with some awesome schwag, courtesy of the gift boxes—that's right, boxes, not bags—provided by JCPenney. See Molly Sims and Nikki Boyer discuss the goodie bonanza in the video below:
