When Miley Cyrus announced that she’d be covering one of the biggest hits from the 80’s, Poison’s “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” we had our concerns.

Sure, we know she can bust out a hard-core ballad (duh, “The Climb” is our jam), but this is a classic, people!

Well, Poison frontman Bret Michaels has faith in the Milester. The reality TV heartbreaker told MTV

‘It was really, really simple. I think her first concert was Poison. She saw us at Nashville at the arena. It was her introduction into rock and roll. She’s one of the few musicians….and I want to use that word cause she can actually play and sing, she’s one of the few people who can pull it off and give it her own flare and make it sound good. Miley nailed the song. She really knew what she was doing. She got in there and picked the guitar up. It was one of those nights that just worked. It was fun. It’s gotta be her taking ‘Every Rose’ and making it all hers.’

Are you excited to hear Miley’s version of “Every Rose Has It’s Thorn?”
