AT&T Gets Hung Up on Tiger Woods Scandal
Tiger Woods has experienced yet another disconnect with one of his many sponsors.
People magazine reports that telecommunications giant AT&T has ended its multiyear endorsement deal with Woods—which began early in 2009—due to the infidelity scandal that’s plagued the golf great since Thanksgiving weekend.
Under the agreement, Woods sported an AT&T logo on his golf bag, and the company collaborates with Woods’ charitable foundation via various AT&T-branded golf tournaments.
Seems like a shame to us, since Woods’ alleged affairs could actually enhance his relationship with the company. Who wouldn’t want to watch an ad with Tiger gushing about how sexting with his numerous mistresses is so much more convenient with AT&T’s products and services?
