Teenagers can tend to get wrapped up in their own lives, especially teenagers who have grown up on a popular television series, having everything handed to her. It’s not surprising Haiti isn’t a pressing matter in her life. She shouldn’t have expressed it, but it’s not surprising.

Such should be expected from a spoiled rich 16 year old. Hollywood socialite or not, I’m sure the same thing would be quoted from many of the rich talentless 16 year olds across the country. I can understand somebody not necessarily throwing themselves 100% into a cause they may not believe in, but she has to realize when you are in the public spotlight you should watch how you phrase what you mean. This isn’t merely a political issue, granted this country has been in social unrest for decades, a tragedy of this level should humble us all. This was a natural disaster of horrific proportions, not something caused by humans such as a war attack. Its very rude to try and ignore it and think all of yourself. Atleast for just one moment, have a heart.

Its really a shame to hear comments like that, I was surprised and I’m sixteen.
