Casey Johnson’s Death Reportedly Caused by Diabetes, May Have Been Preventable
The mystery behind the death of Casey Johnson has apparently been solved.
According to a source close to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office, Johnson—who passed away in Los Angeles on January 4 at the age of 30—died of “diabetic ketoacidosis,” or lack of insulin, a condition that often leads to a diabetic coma. Johnson had suffered from diabetes, and had been hospitalized for diabetic comas at least twice before her death.
Though the Coroner has apparently deemed the death to be “natural,” the source adds that Johnson’s passing may have been preventable—the Coroner’s results reportedly found that Johnson hadn’t been taking her insulin and other necessary medications, had neglected to exercise, and hadn’t been following her strict dietary guidelines.
