The New Spider-Man May Need a Booster Seat to Fight Crime
Maybe they should change the name of the franchise to Spider-Boy?
Meet Logan Lerman, the star of the upcoming Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief and, if he's to be believed, the latest in a growing list of candidates to take over the role of Spider-Man from Tobey Maguire, now that the studio has decided to give the hugely successful movie series a reboot.
The 18-year-old sat down with Access Hollywood's Billy Bush on Thursday to explain that he and Sony have been in talks for him to don the tights:
"There have been a few discussions, it’s definitely something I’m looking into.. It’s one of my favorite characters ever and I’m a huge fan of the series. I’d love to have more conversations about it. I’m definitely very interested in it."
Well, sure; can't you just see him striking fear into the hearts of bad guys? Or at least inspiring them to tousle his hair and play "got your nose" with him?
What do you think, readers? Is Logan Lerman right for the role of Spider-Man, or would it be better for him to focus on other projects for the time being—like, say, getting his learner's permit? Let us know in the comments section!
