The 'We Are The World' Video Is Here! (VIDEO)

The 'We Are The World' Video Is Here! (VIDEO)-photo

Finally, here it is! The new "We Are The World" remake, recorded last week in LA at Henson Studios that premiered at last night's Winter Olympic Ceremony. After you get over the fact that Baby Biebs opens the song, get ready for solos from artists like Pink, Adam Levine, Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Nick Jonas, and, oh yes, Lil Wayne. Ooooh...and just wait for the rap at the end. It's interesting, to say the least.

I thought it was really cool and smart for them to modernize it. YES it is different from the 80's version. YES the rap was weird. HOWEVER, if they had just redid it exactly how it was done back then it wouldn't have affected us now as well. I think it was really smart for them to give it that modern twist so that way it would be more relatable for the audience. That's just modern day marketing for ya. And i'm sorry they could have opened that with someone WAAAAAAAY better and more respectable. I'm sorry Justin Bieber was not a good choice at all. He was totally highlighted in it and he doesn't really deserve it. Celebuzz is the site that reported him driving around in a $200,000 car just last week.... come on. what could that $200,000 be going towards? HAITI maybe? I just learned in that video they need my help, why can't JBieber help? there are a bunch of other celebs who are in a position to help haiti who probably didn't. At least Bieber participated in this video which is gonna raise a ton of money anyway. Justin worked really hard to get his music out there AND he was asked to be at the recording and given a part by the producers to sing so don't go on about him being in the spotlight or not deserving it. And how do you know he hasn't contributed to haiti already? And so what if he drives an expensive car? Hell if i was some rich pop singer i would probably get myself a nice car aswell, most people would.

The origional version is absoloutly AMAZING hands down. . I actually looked forward to the new one but I have been let down. . I really hate the new version. . MJ did great on the lyrics he's amazing. . The new version is a mess, the voices don't go well together, wrong people were chosen for the lyrics even though they are very talented. . Just average. .

I liked the 1980s version better, but the relief it'll bring to Haiti will be great. To be honest in sounded like a hot mess. And why the hell would Lil' Wanye be singing? He can't sing, he's a rapper that uses auto-tune! Really? The 1980s version I have to say, was more classy.

I didn't really like it. it's for a good cause so that's great and there were some good parts(pink, streisand and a couple others) but it just tried too hard to be cool with the useless rap and the chorus was a big jumbled mess with everyone singing over each other and all that. the whole group singing together in the original was much better and less grating.
