Tiger Woods Jokes Axed From the Oscars
There will be no shortage of celebrities in attendance at Sunday night's Academy Awards. But one notable personality who won't be there, even in spirit, is Tiger Woods.
According to the New York Post, writers for tonight's Oscars ceremony crafted several jokes about the recently disgraced golf great's cheating scandals for Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin to crack, but Academy bigwigs pooh-poohed the idea. A source squeals,
"Some of the Tiger jokes were deemed too rude."
Oh, noes! And who knows how many hours those poor writers spent crafting "balls" and "wood" puns? But there will still be plenty of Jon Gosselin cracks, right guys? Pretty-please?
