Worst Dressed: 2010 Academy Awards FAILs And Most Snooze-worthy (PHOTOS)
Let's face it, the Academy Awards aren't known to bring out the eccentricly dressed celebs and while this year was one of the most amazingly risky carpets of the show it was quite entertaining, thanks to the risk-taking fails. However, the carpet was also graced with a few snooze-infested looks as well.

I care! It's about time to add something memorable to such an occasion and also add some color - both in the dresses and in the faces. Why were there so many bland colored dresses this year?? Lots of crab grays and other pale colors that made people looked totally washed out.

Sorry, didn't realize others had already commented about Hattie McDaniel (only saw 1st pg of the comments). Also whoever wants everyone to shave: In other parts of the world people use their time and brain to worry about other things than shaving your legs or getting face lifts... I live in the US but my American husband loves me the way I am; he doesn't care if I shave or not. I am lucky and I suspect Mo'nique is too, in that we don't need to shave to feel good about ourselves, and we have men who are smart enough to know smooth legs don't make a woman.
Think before you take an easy shot at somebody -- Mo'nique wore royal blue and a gardenia in her hair to honor Hattie McDaniel. McDaniel was the 1st African American to be nominated for an Academy Award for her role in Gone With The Wind. She won, and wore a blue dress and a gardenia in her hair when she accepted her Oscar in 1940.
I think the fact that this isn't Mo'Nique is absolutely relevant. Yes -- M's reason for dressing as she did is an important fact to publicize, to remind us of racial inequities that exist in the academy awards, both past and present. But it's also REALLY important to not treat black women (or any other identity group) as interchangeable, which is what I was concerned ExurbanMom was doing by referencing Mo'Nique's outfit under a picture of Sherri Shepherd.

BEAUTIFUL! Loved this dress.
I like it. She seems down to earth and this fits her nicely. I wish she had walked it a little better, though. It was disappointing that the Academy couldn't find her an escort tall enough for her to walk on his arm with dignity instead of hunching over.

Monique dress is BEAUTIFUL for the Oscars. The draping accents her curves and provides lots of interest. The color is vibrant and interesting...just like Monique. Great Job, Monique! Actually I think Sarah-Jessica Parker looked like she was wearing a designer patato bag!!!! Not flattering at all, made her look very skinny, curveless and it seemed as though the ribbon covering her colarbone was choking her. Plus the silvery ornament did not help any....just an odd looking dress !!!! She should always wear dresses that don't accentuate her bones but flatters her curves!
