Robert Pattinson Was a Human Punching Bag as a Kid

Alex Blagg / March 10, 2010

Since he broke onto the scene as the World’s Hottest Vampire in the Twilight series, Robert Pattinson has no doubt inspired untold millions to utter the phrase “I’d hit it.” But back in his pre-fame era, the term had painfully different connotations for the New Moon hunk. During a recent interview, R-Pattz told Parade magazine:

“I got beaten up by a lot of people when I was younger. I was a bit of an idiot, but I always thought the assaults were unprovoked. It was after I first started acting and I liked to behave like an actor, or how I thought an actor was supposed to be, and that apparently provoked a lot of people into hitting me.”

Foolish haters: Don’t you know that mashing up Robert Pattinson’s perfect mug won’t make you any prettier by comparison? Besides, the guy roughs up pretty good.

Face it, people—you just can’t beat Robert Pattinson. Well, you can, but he’ll just come out on the winning end somehow. Because he’s just that awesome.
