Lady GaGa's Wardrobe Finally Turns on Her, Tries to Kill Her (PHOTOS)

Many Lady GaGa fans have raved about the "Bad Romance" chanteuse's killer fashion sense. But that phrase came dangerously close to taking on a literal meaning during a flight that she took this week.

The Sun reports that the flight crew on a trip from London to America was forced to perform an emergency undressing on the "Poker Face" songbird, when her legs began to swell due to the skintight, yellow-and-black dress and purple, high-heeled shoes that she was wearing. Worried that GaGa was suffering from the early stages of deep-vein thrombosis (DVT)—the formation of a blood clot in a deep vein that is a particular danger to passengers on long-distance flights—the flight crew forced the singer to change into something more comfortable. According to an airline source:

"GaGa was a high-risk DVT case so she was advised to change out of her clothes. But the outfit was so cumbersome she needed help changing out of it. She was particularly miffed about ditching her heels. She was wearing them in memory of her friend [recently deceased fashion designer] Alexander [McQueen]."

Ironically, during her stint in England, GaGa told British television presenter Jonathan Ross,

"I would rather die than have my fans not see me in a pair of high heels. I'd never give up my wigs and hats for anything."

Keep wearing those tight clothes and heels on long flights, GaGa, and you just might have a chance to make good on that pledge.
