Kellan Lutz to Become More Godlike Than Usual, Will Play Poseidon in New Movie
You're all wet, Kellan Lutz! Or at least you're about to be. The Twilight beefcake is about to take his rightful place in Greek mythology by playing Poseidon, god of the ocean, in the upcoming film War of the Gods.
The film, which is be directed by The Cell helmsman Tarsem Singh and produced by 300's Gianni Nunnari and Mark Canton, will follow young warrior Theseus as he leads his troops and a band of immortal Greek gods into battle against the elder Titan gods in an epic struggle for the future of mankind. And, if the producers have any sense, will feature Lutz adorned with nothing more than a trident and a pair of soaking-wet Calvin Klein briefs.
Filming is scheduled to begin filming in April, so a bit of advice, Kellan; you might want to set the ice cream aside and hit the gym for a while. Lutz will be joined by a cast that includes Henry Cavill, Freida Pinto and Mickey Rourke—who, we assume, will portray Odorus, ancient god of questionable smells.
