LL Cool J Is Surprisingly Not Down With Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin is hosting a new special on Fox News tomorrow night which follows Palin as she profiles “ordinary Americans living extraordinary lives,” including LL Cool J. Unfortunately, the show has been revealed to be a big ol’ fake.

Fox News has been airing a commercial (see below) promoting the special titled American Stories which leads the audience to believe that Palin sits down with “real Americans” and celebrities to talk about their American stories. Folksy! Relatable!

Some conservatives were shocked and pleased to see Palin talking to LL, a real live black person. Unfortunately, Palin never talked to LL, as LL revealed on Twitter:

Fox lifted an old interview I gave in 2008 to someone else & are misrepresenting to the public in order to promote Sarah Palins [sic] show. WOW

“WOW,” indeed. Palin’s political career has been marked by scandal, who would have thought that her journey into television celebrity would begin more scandals. Granted, she probably wasn’t the one making the publicity decisions for the program (and LL never implies that she is to blame) but Fox News is really digging her a new hole to wallow in.

Fox News has since announced that they are cutting LL Cool J’s interview from their program for implying that Saint Sarah’s program wasn’t 100% truth.
