Saying someone is a “celebrity” can be a tricky thing in this day and age, as there are plenty of people who can find their fifteen minutes of fame, but few who can truly own the title of bona fide stardom.
Reality stars are just one example: they are usually considered not to be “true” celebrities, typically ranking somewhere on the fame scale between game show contestants and teenage YouTube make-up gurus. However, sometimes reality stars can cross over from “reality star” to “celebrity” with the right amount of hard work. We found nine stars who we can truly, officially call real celebrities.

Adam is the only one on this entire list who has actual talent to back up his celebrity.
The rest of the ones you mentioned all fall into either the “Who?” or the “Who cares?” categories.
Many of Adam’s fellow AI alumni deserve mention more than any of these pap chasers. But then you’d have to call your list ‘Reality Stars who became real artists’ instead.

No, he’s famous because he is a technically gifted singer. He has a vocal range very few people have. He is smart and funny and grounded. He is generous. So next time before you reach for hate, get to know the person first.
Adam is a star on the rise for sure. Thanks for picking this picture because it is one of my favorites. He is extremely talented and a nice guy to boot. His single WWFM went platinum in the USA this week. Congrats Adam.
