Chris Brown Is Going to Help Haiti Beat This Earthquake Thing

Don’t worry, Haiti; Chris Brown is on his way to help! The “I Can Transform Ya” singer, who’s been struggling to rehabilitate his image since assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna last year, has added another date to his Salvage My Reputation Tour 2010, with a concert to benefit earthquake-ravaged Haiti.

Brown will headline the Virginia Stand Up! A Call to Action concert at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, on May 15. The fundraiser, which will also include performances by Keri Hilson, T-Pain, Juelz Santana, Trey Songz and Mario, will benefit the American Red Cross’ earthquake-relief efforts in Haiti, as well as the Central Virginia Foodbank.

In a statement, Brown—who was born in  Tappahannock, Virginia—announced,

“I wanted to find a way to contribute personally to the ongoing Haitian relief effort and also support an organization that helps people in need in my home state.”

Tickets can be purchased at or through LiveNation.
