Kristen Stewart And Carey Mulligan Battle It Out For A Movie Role

Uh oh, we smell some outrage brewing.

Oscar-nominated actress (and Shia LaBeouf’s girlfriend) Carey Mulligan has reportedly snagged the lead role for the American movie adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo from none other than Kristen Stewart.

Kristen and Carey were both being considered for the lead role of Lisbeth Salander, a punk-y bisexual computer hacker, but it appears that Carey has won the coveted role.

The movie will be based on a critically acclaimed and popular book series and insiders are predicating that the film could be a big deal in America. The film has already been made into a film in Sweden and has earned favorable reviews.

Meanwhile, some KStew fans have already launched into outrage mode, lamenting the fact that pixie-ish Carey won the role over punk-ish Kristen.

While Carey does have Oscar clout behind her to land choice roles, Kristen might have been a good choice for the role. However, Kristen might have been unable to take the role with her busy filming schedule: she is still finishing up Breaking Dawn and has three other films she is working on.

Do you think Carey is a good choice for the role or do you want Kristen to get the role? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
