Bret Michaels Can’t Stop Rocking, Will Hit the Road Again in May
Not even a brain hemorrhage can prevent Bret Michaels from fulfilling his God-given duty to bring rock to the world.
Despite being rushed to the hospital with a brain hemorrhage last Friday—and undergoing an emergency appendectomy a little more than two weeks ago—the 47-year-old Poison frontman and Rock of Love star plans to resume his Roses & Thorns tour, which was postponed due to his most recent medical troubles, next month.
According to a statement on Michaels’ Web site,
“At this time we are planning to resume the tour May 26th in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, provided there are no further complications or setbacks. We will then continue with all scheduled dates throughout the summer and fall, including the June and July tour with Lynyrd Skynyrd.”
While improving, Michaels’ medical condition has had its setbacks; earlier this week it was revealed that, as a result of the hemorrhage, the singer developed hyponatremia, a condition caused by low sodium that can result in seizures.
