Robert Pattinson and Uma Thurman Get All Sultry in New ‘Bel Ami’ Still
Oh, goodness; is it getting warm in here, in a totally 1890s Paris way?
Behold, a new still from the upcoming period drama Bel Ami, featuring co-stars Robert Pattinson and Uma Thurman enjoying an intimate moment.
The movie, based on the Guy de Maussapant story, stars R-Pattz as overly ambitious writer Georges Duroy, who rises from poverty to the highest strata of Parisian society by bedding a succession of influential women.From all reports, it’s going to be quite the streamy cinematic affair indeed, and we can’t say that this still does much to dispel that notion.

His sex scenes are always super steamy and dramatic. I’m sure we won’t be let down in Bel Ami. I kind of want to read the book. It always adds so much to the movie.
I’m definitely interesting. Uma’s an amazing actress…this still is defintely steamy and intriguing.
Happy to see him in a period drama and not some cheesy romantic comedy, even if it is the less safe route in terms of box-office potential. The book is very good and his character is quite evil. The seduction scenes, especially in the final third of the book are way intense. The scenes between him and Kristen Scott Thomas’ character towards the end of the book are outstanding. If she delivers, she will dominate the last part of the movie, very powerful!!

She does look OLD!!! I think Uma’s a great actress but she has aged a lot. I wish Nicole Kidman could have done the part instead. She couldn’t do it because of her scheduling conflicts with other projects. So lookin forward to seeing Rob in this role. My, my, he just looks, young, hot, sexy, and plain gorgeous…seduce me, please!!

Uma is age appropraite for the role, she IS supposed to be old, older than Duroy (Rob’s character). Duroy is in his 30′s. When you see some bts videos of Duroy’s wedding to Sussane (the daughter of Kristin Scott Thomas character) you can see that the makeup artist aged him a bit.
Eagerly anticipating this movie, even more so after seeing this beautiful still!!

I totally agree. Look at Rob. Does he look like someone in his 20′s in this picture? Of course he doesn’t. Actually, Rob could pass for a 30 year old most of the times. But, I digress. Look, I know that we live in a youth-obsessed culture. But, when people start saying that a 39 year old looks “OLD”, that’s nuts.
It’s obvious the people making the “old” comment haven’t read the book.
