‘The Hills’ Finale May Spare Us From Heidi and Spencer

Now here’s a reason to tune in when The Hills ends its run later this year: Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt might not be there for the swan song.

According to a source, the show’s creator, Adam DiVello, “said he doesn’t think Heidi and Spencer will come back for the series finale.” Montag was reportedly left out of a May 6 brainstorming session in Santa Monica, where the show’s female stars brainstormed ideas for the show-closer. Pratt, meanwhile, has been persona non grata since reportedly threatening to kill a producer on set.

The source adds that DiVello is hoping to give the groundbreaking reality series a happy ending, one that points to better things to come for its cast, particularly the female half:

“He wants The Hills to end on an upbeat tone. He wants to show the audience that the girls are going on to bigger and better things and that the show was good for them.”

Sounds like as good a reason as any to leave Speidi out of things.
