Bret Michaels To Drown Out Doctor's Orders With the Rock
Bret Michaels doesn't seem to know the meaning of the word "quit." Or even of the word "rest."
The Poison frontman, who despite his multiple health woes performed on the American Idol finale this week, is planning to take the stage yet again tonight for a comeback concert at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi. (Michaels was forced to postpone his Roses & Thorns tour back in April, when he was hospitalized for a brain aneurysm.)
According to TMZ, the performance will take place against the wishes of Michaels' doctor—which is understandable, as little more than a week ago the singer suffered a "warning stroke" and was found to have a hole in his heart during his subsequent hospitalization.
But Michaels is apparently determined to rock the masses, albeit with precautions. A source tells TMZ,
"Bret will be slower on stage ... not a lot of dancing and will take it easy."
Medical personnel will also be on hand in case anything happens. Let's all hope for Michaels' sake that their services aren't needed.
