Charlie Sheen Will Plead Guilty to Assaulting His Wife on Christmas
Two and a Half Men might have to film on location for a while.
Us Magazine reports that Charlie Sheen is preparing to plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge for assaulting his wife, Brooke Mueller, at their home this past Christmas, a move that could earn Sheen up to 45 days in Aspen's Pitkin County Jail.
On the bright side, the plea would mean that a felony menacing charge related to the incident would be dropped.
According to a "high-ranking official," Sheen decided to cop a plea to avoid the possibility of prison time:
"His legal representatives didn't want to risk him going to prison and thought it best to resolve the case now."
A June 18 court appearance has been moved up to June 7 so that Sheen can enter his plea deal and avoid his trial, which was scheduled to begin on July 21.
