With the tragic news of Gary Coleman‘s death still fresh in our minds, it is hard to ignore how Gary’s life took a turn that was similar to other doomed child stars.
It’s no secret that Hollywood is a tough place, especially for children. The steady stream of pressures that are put on child celebrities (not to mention the free-flowing drugs and alcohol around Hollywood) are often citied as factors in the disastrous careers and tragic deaths of some young stars.
With this in our minds, we decided to take a look back at some of the most tragic deaths of some of Hollywood’s most beloved stars.

Its hard to lose a parent or anyone at the age of 42 or 43… So those who lost Gary Coleman i lost my dad at 43
While these deaths are tragic, someone who dies in thier late 40′s or early 50′s is not a child star dying too soon. They are an adult star. Sorry..
you do realize hes considered a child star because he started his career as a child right? child star doesnt mean they are still a child and around 50 is still really young he only lived half his life

Hello, what about Heather O’Rourke from “Poltergeist”? She was only 12 or 13 when she died. And MICHAEL JACKSON in the number one spot? Seriously? I don’t think former child stars are the only ones doing massive amounts of smack.

this whole list so sooo sad especialy that girl that dies at 18 like dam! is being a child star that bad that they hav to take drugs or is it being in the spotlight at such a young age that messes them up….. really sad :(

they didn’t even put the most important part. he died because the years of doing drugs made his organs harden and 2 little boys found him in an abandoned building.
