Dennis Hopper Dead at 74
Actor Dennis Hopper died in his Venice, California, home on Saturday morning following a lengthy battle with prostate cancer. He was 74.
Following roles in the James Dean films Rebel Without a Cause and Giant, Kansas native Hopper went on to star in the countercultural classic Easy Rider and had a substantial supporting role in the Vietnam war epic Apocalypse Now. In the 80s his career would experience a resurgence with a starring role in the David Lynch cult classic Blue Velvet. Most recently he portrayed Ben Cendars on the television series Crash.
Twice nominated for an Oscar, Hopper received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in March.
