James Cameron Calls BP Execs a Bunch of “Morons”
James Cameron isn’t mincing words when it comes to the oil spill that’s currently ravaging the Gulf of Mexico.
The Titanic director recently offered his fleet of submarines for use to oil company BP to help aid in the efforts to stop the leak. The company has now turned down his offer, and Cameron, understandably, is none too happy about it. During a tech conference on Wednesday, Cameron lashed out,
“Over the last few weeks, I’ve watched, as we all have, with growing horror and heartache, watching what’s happening in the Gulf and thinking those morons don’t know what they’re doing.”
The director adds that allowing BP to watchdog itself is a huge mistake:
“If you’re not monitoring it independently, you’re asking the perpetrator to give you the video of the crime scene.”
Maybe he should forget the submarines and head down there with a film crew instead.
