Miley Cyrus Takes On Hollywood’s Double-Standards

Miley Cyrus is finally coming into her own and she is taking on the double-standards in Hollywood.

In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, Miley laments the double-standards she sees in Hollywood as she begins to get more sexy and mature with her appearance and music. Is Miley becoming a lil’ feminist right before our very eyes?

From Access Hollywood:

Girls are immediately going to say, ‘Oh, [I’m] trying to sell sex.’ Well, I love Zac Efron, but what’s he selling? He’s gorgeous, he’s hot, I don’t go see his movie because I’m like, ‘He’s such a fantastic actor.’ He’s a great actor, but he’s hot. He’s just not in a leotard with his legs out. He has his shirt off. So what’s the difference?

So, is Miley saying that we shouldn’t listen to her music or watch her videos because we love her undeniable talent? Either way, the “Can’t Be Tamed” songbird complains that male teen idols have it much easier than female teen idols:

I was on tour with the Jonas Brothers my first year and boy bands get away with a lot. For girls, it’s always going to be harder. That’s not an excuse, it just means we have to work harder.
